I am Jackie Lee. I’m a wife, a mom, and unfortunately a black and white/all or nothing thinker. :(   It wasn’t too hard to get by with black and white thinking until I had my daughter ~ she’s almost 4 now. A child does not allow for all or nothing ~ there’s always too much middle ground. me and hanna 3rd birthday

I decided to try to get it under control ~ try to find some middle ground, try to put in place the idea that SOMETHING is always better than NOTHING and PERFECT doesn’t really exist. :)

You know, I don’t know if you’re like this too, but I find myself wanting to go a little more green. Set a good example for my daughter. Next thing I know I’m trying to be a vegetarian recycling, use nothing nazi! YIKES. That’s no fun. Then I swing back to just not doing anything at all ~ and that’s no good either. There’s middle ground there, I can feel it. I can take steps to lighten our footprint on the world and still do the things I love and be the mom I want to be.

The story repeats itself in just about every area of my life ~ healthy eating, cleaning and organizing, parenting, working out ~ oh, let’s not even go there!!

When I birthed my daughter and began to wear this mom hat ~ I really began to see that this all or nothing mentality is NOT going to work ~ it’s not a great model to show my daughter and it’s not a lot of fun.
